In August 2008, Akadema did what very few American companies do these days. They brought American manufacturing home and created jobs for American craftsman. Why is this so unique? Since the 1950s the American baseball glove manufacturing industry has shrunk from an estimated five thousand jobs to less then fifty jobs in 2007.

A new baseball factory has not been built in the USA by an established recognized brand in nearly two decades. The reasons for the demise are all too familiar; after the costs of wages, insurance, benefits, taxation, and regulations. These obstacles increase the products cost over three times and make it impossible to compete against foreign imports.

Then why would Akadema build gloves in the USA? The ownership has a love of the game and the USA. Akadema believes Americans should be able to make products which are loved and respected around the world. Our goal is to be the USAs largest domestic baseball glove manufacturer and make the best quality product. Akadema is willing to sacrifice the bottom line.

Q: How Much is the Shipping to:?

Q: Can I Combine Shipping costs if I win more than one Item?

A: YES, once you have won everything that you were bidding on just go through the checkout process and it will add all of the items that you have won as long as you used the same eBay name to bid on them. International Shipments which are shipped International Priority or International Economy and Include Customs Clearance Fees in the shipping price which might make them seam higher but it makes you get the package faster and cuts out part of the fees on your side. If your package weighs under a pound, then we ship through the post office and there is no tracking number, but you will be informed when it ships. Please NOTE: It can take 24 hours, and sometimes longer, to update the delivery status information for delivery confirmation numbers.

Q: What if I didn't receive a tracking/delivery confirmation email?

A: Often, our emails are intercepted, deleted and/or otherwise caused to not arrive to you. This occurs because some ISP's (Internet Service Providers, including AOL, NetZero, MSN, Earthlink, Yahoo, Hotmail, and others) employ SPAM (junk e-mail) filters to minimize the amount of junk e-mail you receive. Because we are a high-volume merchant (we sell a lot of products), we also send a large volume of email (shipping confirmation, order confirmation, customer service replies, etc.). Q: How long will it be after I order before my order ships?

A: We ship orders the next business day after you pay for it. (So if you order on Friday night it won't ship until Monday.) In the event that we discover the product is damaged, unmerchandisable, or otherwise unavailable, we will not ship and will contact you to make arrangements for either a refund, reshipment, backorder or other applicable action.
